Telluride Film #37 and Foreign Films/The Oscar Clearinghouse

The Academy has announced its short list of 9 foreign films that are still in contention for the final five nominations that will be announced on Jan. 25.

A real surprise among Oscar predictors this morning was the absence of France's "of Gods and Men" which also played as part of this year's festival.
