MTFB reported earlier this week that Ioncinema has tipped the Tilda Swinton/John C. Reilly starrer and Cannes entry "We Need to Talk About Kevin" as being on this year's Telluride lineup. I can also pass along that the film fro helmer Lynne Ramsey now has an awards friendly release date. Dec. 2.

PICTURES OF SHAME
First Showing/Alex Billington has pictures (that we can actually show you) from Steve McQueen's "Shame" starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan.
Billington says that he thinks it "likely" that "Shame" will make the field of films at Telluride. It's been on our watch list for a long, long time and has been persistently on the "Ten Bets" list this summer. McQueen's "hunger" also starring Fassbender was at T-ride in 2008 and Ms. Mulligan has been in town the last two festivals. And since we already think "Drive" is going to be in the fest, Carey could kill two films with one stone.
