Overall: The Artist and Hugo continue their mutual assault with The Descendants also in the thick of the "major" categories.
Extremely Loud clearly has some admirers and The Tree of Life continues to show up though I was a little surprised that Malick didn't get a Best Director nod here.
Tomorrow The Screen Actors Guild announces their nominations. Golden Globes on Thursday...
