Good Morning!
YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET
One of the films that played Cannes last month that got fairly positive response was Alain Renais' "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet." It's the kind of film I could see ending up in the program at Telluride. I have included a new review from Mubi.com:

Also, here is its IMDb page:

YOU WANT A PIECE OF (ANG LEE'S "THE LIFE OF) PI"?
We got word this morning that Ang Lee's "life of PI' will begin to trickle out some 3D footage as a trailer before 3D showings this week of "Prometheus". I suspect that further diminishes chances of "Pi" being on TFF #39's bill of fare in September. Take a look at the story as reported here from The Hollywood Reporter:

AND A NUDGE
Hey, Telluride programming types...yes, you. I know that occasionally some o the festival's "eyes" take a look at this space...so... here's my nudge.
I know you don't really program films that premiered at Sundance, but, it's not a 100% hard and fast rule (An Education)...so, here's my request for "Six Sessions" (was "The Surrogate").
Thank you.
That's all for today...more later...
