Movie City News Gurus of Gold is up with its second posting for this brand new Oscar season and as I have posted earlier, I have been asked to Guru for MCN this season...Thanks MCN!
Highlights of the new post are predictions for Best Picture as well as Best Actress and Supporting Actress.
Telluride films in play for Best Picture according to the Gurus are Roma, First Man, The Favourite and Can You ever Forgive Me? Also mentioned from TFF are: First Reformed (TFF #44), Boy Erased, Cold War and The Front Runner.
Among the Best Actress contenders are Telluriders Olivia Colman/The Favourite and Melissa McCarthy/ Can You Ever Forgive Me? Also possible: Yalitza Aparicio/Roma.
And in the Supporting Actress category: Claire Foy/First Man, Emma Stone/The Favourite and Nicole Kidman/Boy Erased. Also possible: Rachel Weisz/The Favourite and Vera Farmiga/The Front Runner.
