Oscar Matters/USC Scripter Noms/The Iceman Appears

OSCAR MATTERS...

Now that we know the nominees and The Golden Globes have crowned their choices for the best in film this year it's time to begin to think about what
about what might actually happens on Oscar night.  Some of the experts that I regularly tap to focus on that question have
Begun to weigh in.  Starting with The Hollywood Reporter's Scott Feinberg who has posted his latest forecast
As well as his weekly video report "A Few Minutes with Feinberg".  Both are posted below...

Meanwhile, The Huffington Post has weighed in with their first attempt at forecasting Oscar using their own, fairly
Extensive metric and I have linked that here:

THE ICEMAN APPEARS

A film that was generally well received at this year's festival was Ariel Froman's "The Iceman".
Now there's a trailer for the film which The Playlist has linked to here:

USC SCRIPTER NOMINEES

The University of Southern California has announced the finalists for this year's "Scripter" award
Which recognizes adapted screenplays only...and rewards both the screenwriters and the authors
of the original source material.  Variety posted the list of six...one more than usual as their vote for nominees
Included a tie for the first time.  The links to the Variety story is here:
