The Playlist speculates that director Tomas Alfredson's adaptation of the John Le Carre spy classic "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" might find its way onto the program for Telluride in September. Today's article claims that the film that stars Gary Oldman and TFF #37 tributee Colin Firth will open the Venice Festival and speculates that it is also likely to show up at either Telluride or Toronto.
"Tinker..." follows the story of British spy master George Smiley (Oldman) and his attempt to dig out a Russian mole from British Intelligence during the height of the Cold War.
The film is from production companies Studio Canal and Working Title...both of which have been represented at Telluride in the past.
