Good Monday morning, America...
MORE SHAME
The NC-17 cat is out of the bag. "Steve McQueen's "Shame" is finally running in a limited release and reportedly doing well. This Monday's post includes two interviews with the director and co-writer McQueen, a review from Movie City News and the not surprising announcement from Cinemark that they will not be showing the film.

FIRST AWARDS WAVE ANALYSIS
This last week saw "awards" announcements from The New York Film Critic's Circle, The Gothams and The National Board of Review as well as nominations from The Independent Spirit Awards. As you might expect, there was a good deal of "analysis" (including my own in this space the last week) from a variety of sources. I have included a sampler of that here.
