OSCAR MOVES
The Academy Awards have been moved to March 2 for 2014 to avoid conflicting with the Winter Olympics. That puts it a week later than it was this year. The Oscars will reportedly move back to the last Sunday in February for 2015. Check the story from The Wrap:

WADJDA GOES FESTIVALING
"Wadjda", which is notable among other things for being a Saudi Arabian film directed by a woman, was highlighted at TFF #39 and now has been selected to open The Gulf Film Festival in Dubai. That news came from Screen Daily:
