TFF #50 DAY FOUR
Two challenging films today and one other a bit more conventional
*The Zone of Interest...you have to invest yourself in the first 90-95 minutes for the last 10-15 to land. and it lands hard. A brilliant conclusion makes the investment worth it. It's breathtaking film making.
*Rustin-Domingo Coleman is awe-inspiring as the titular character in this biopic of the organizer behind the 1963 March on Washington. Expect his name to be called on Oscar Nomination morning. Jeffrey Wright shines in support as Congressman Adam Clayton Powell.
*Poor Things-So much to chew on. Emma Stone-great. Mark Ruffalo-great. Willem Dafoe-great. Inventive visually and conceptually.
Tomorrow will start for me with Pablo Larrain's El Conde and then we'll vamp from that point on.

It appears that I will go 24/25 on the Final Bets accuracy. It also looks like MTFB had 6 of 10 correct from the very first "Ten Bets" from back in June.
