Last Chance Post Before Oscar Nominations/British "Oscar" Nominations (BAFTA)

LAST CHANCE

Here it is...a recap of what The Film Awards Clearinghouse metric says will be the Oscar nominees tomorrow morning in the 21 feature categories and notes about where I might quibble...

BEST PICTURE
(Between 5 and 10 will be nominated)

The FAC says the ten most likely in order are: Lincoln, Argo, Les Miserables, Zero Dark Thirty, Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Amour and Moonrise Kingdom.

I'm going to say there will be 9 nominees and  "The Master" gets in instead of "Amour" and "Beasts"

DIRECTOR: Speilberg, Bigelow, Affleck, Lee and Hooper.  There's a possibility that Wes Anderson or David O. Russell  (updated at 3pm CST on Wed. 1/9/13) Tarantino sneaks in instead of Hooper.

ACTRESS: Lawrence, Chastain, Cotillard, Watts and Riva.

ACTOR: Day Lewis, Jackman, Cooper, Hawkes, Washington

SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Hathaway, Field, Hunt, Smith, Adams

SUPPORTING ACTOR: Jones, Hoffman, Arkin, DeNiro, DiCaprio.  I say McConaughey for Dicaprio.

ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: Kushner, Russell, Terrio, Magee, Zeitlin and Alibar.  I say Chbosky instead of Zeitlin and Zlibar

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Boal, Haneke, Anderson and Coppola, PT Anderson, Tarantino

ANIMATED FEATURE: Frankenweenie, Brave, Wreck It Ralph, ParaNorman, Rise of the Guardians.  I'm going with "Le Tableau/The Painting" instead of "Rise of the Guardians"

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: Amour, The Intouchables, A Royal Affair, No, Kon Tiki.  I say "Sister" rather than "Kon Tiki"

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE: Sugarman, Gatekeepers, How to Survive a Plague, Mea Maxima Culpa, The Invisible War

CINEMATOGRAPHY: Life of Pi, Skyfall, The Master, Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln

FILM EDITING: Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Lincoln, Life of Pi, Les Miserables .  I'm going to go with "Django" instead of "Les Miz"

ORIGINAL SONG: Skyfall, Les Miz, Brave, Still Alive, Django

ORIGINAL SCORE: Life of Pi, Lincoln, Argo, Anna Karenina, Beasts.  I'm saying "The Master" slides pasts "Beasts".

PRODUCTION DESIGN: Anna Karenina, Lincoln, Les Miz, Life of Pi, The Master

COSTUME: Anna Karenina, Les Miz, Lincoln, Django, Mirror Mirror.

MAKEUP/HAIR: Lincoln, The Hobbit, Les Miz

VISUAL EFFECTS: Life of Pi, The Hobbit, The Avengers, Cloud Atlas, Prometheus

SOUND EDITING: Skyfall, Les Miz, Dark Knight, Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi

SOUND MIXING: Skyfall, Les Miz, Zero Dark Thirty, Dark Knight, Life of Pi

Let's see what happens tomorrow morning...
