Rust Date/No/Labor Day Under Way

Good Thursday morning from Santa Fe, New Mexico!

RUST DATE

Jacques Audiard's "Rust and Bone" continues to be positioned in ways that foster my belief that it will play as a part of the Telluride 2012 program.  The latest news came yesterday as Sony Pictures Classics announced that it will be released stateside on Nov. 16th.

Here's the story from The Playlist:

NO

Another Cannes film that came into view as a possible/probable Telluride choice is Pablo Larrain's "No" starring Gael Garcia Bernal.  I really think that this also makes the TFF #39 program.

Mubi.com has a look at the film here:

LABOR DAY UNDER WAY

And after numerous news releases concerning casting choices, and my inaugural "Coming Attractions" post last week, word comes that Jason Reitman's "Labor Day" has begun filming.  That according to this tweet from Rope of Silicon:

"Jason Reitman's 'Labor Day' is underway, and I just updated the film's synopsis: http://t.co/x9dU4qzo"

Not much other news as the link takes you to the description of "Labor Day" on the ROS website.

I'm looking for "Labor Day" to be a part of Telluride's 40th festival/celebration in 2013.
