The American Society of Cinematographers announced their 5 nominees for 2010 late yesterday afternoon. According to Incontention.com they are...
“Black Swan” (Matthew Libatique)
“Inception” (Wally Pfister)
“The King’s Speech” (Danny Cohen)
“The Social Network” (Jeff Cronenweth)
“True Grit” (Roger Deakins)
Maybe the surprise "in" here is "The King's Speech" while the surprise "out" would probably be "127 Hours" or "The Fighter." This Oscar is Roger Deakins to lose.
Two weeks until nomination morning and the Golden Globes are coming up Sunday...a new Oscar Clearinghouse for the Big 8 categories is coming in the next 24 hours.
